This is the 1st of 6 postcard set that I bought from Malaysian Tourism Center where my husband kindly brought me to when he heard me complaining that I can't seem to find nice postcards at the bookstores.

The artist of this series is Ali Akbar Othman, a Malaysian artist who is known for his landscape paintings. I love his use of colours and his skewed perspective.

Loggerhead Turtle

The East coast of Florida is the second largest nesting site for the Loggerheads in the world. Nesting season is April through September.

It's interesting that in the US, all the lights on the beach at night are legally required to be red for the turtles' protection since they can't see the colour red.

I bought a couple of this watercolour postcard from the tourism center. It depicts the harvesting and husking of paddy the traditional way before the use of machinery. I bought it because it is so idyllic and it reminds me of my hometown.

From the top of the City Hall tower - a magnificent view over Riddarholmen and the Old Town.

Says the sender: Stockholm is a city built on many islands so you see alot of water, bridges and boats here. Here's the old part of the city, Old Town, founded in the 13th Century

Says the sender: Gin is a popular drink in England and everyone accepts 'G&T' as a great way to unwind after work. One particular brand, 'Beefeater' is named after the uniformed men who guard the crown jewels. It is recommended to anyone trying gin for the first time.
